About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check

I am flying from Chicago to Shanghai and then on to Guilin later this month.

And am wondering if it is okay to bring my knitting needles in my carry on luggage. I’ve flown all over the U.S., Europe, and West Africa with no problems, but wasn’t sure about China.
