About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Kiwi passports transit Nanjing

Hi there,

Do you know if we can travel free transit AKL-HKG-NKG-HKG-ZRH? no stop in HKG travel in either direction just transiting airport and staying under 72 hours in NKG.

Yes, you are ok. Nanjing is part of the 72 hour free transit and Hong Kong is also considered a third country under this scheme.

As long as your final destination is a third country not the same as your departure country. But it might be best to email or enquire at China embassy where you are.

This route obviously requires a visa. HKG-NKG-HKG is not a transit of China. In fact, you are transiting Hong Kong twice.
