About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

I have some transportation and hotel questions in Shanghai as follows:

1) How far is airport to East Nanjing Road, near Peoples Square and the Bund? What can I expect to pay for a cab?
2) Can you recommend a 3 to 4 star hotel that has people that speak English that can assist us in obtaining a cab, etc.
3) Are certain cab companies more reliable to use than others? I heard some cab drivers are not very honest.
4) What can I expect to pay in U.S. dollars for a cab from the East Nanjing Road area to the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal.

It is about 47 kilometers from the airport to East Nanjing Road. It may cost about CNY180 at daytime and CNY230 at night. As for the taxi fee from East Nanjing Road area to the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal, you may pay about CNY90 – 100 or about 13 – 14 dollars.

You can take the normal taxi at outside arrival floor at T1 or south side of the Gate 4 in the arrival floor at T2. And you can sent the driver’s information including the license number on your social network site and get the invoice as you get off to make sure your safety.

The Bund Riverside Hotel is recommended to you. The hotel is located at No.398 Beijing East Road. You can call them at 021-63522888 and ask them to help you book a taxi to pick you up at the airport.
