About:Chinese Consulate in New York

Applying for a Z work from within China - from NY State

Hi, I am living in Beijing (on a Family S visa - trailing spouse). I have been offered a job in Beijing which requires all the paperwork for a work Z. Can I do everything remotely from China - using an agent? Some of my documents are in NY while I have some with me in China. Thanks for your help.

You can try to change your S type into work Z type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. You may need to prepare the relevant documents including your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, and work permit from your employer and others.
