will i need to check out my luggage in my international transfer in Beijing Capital Airport.

Hello, i'm flying with flight CZ346 (amsterdan - Beijing) and CZ6041 (Beijing - Ho Chi Minh City) with 17 hr transfer. so i would like to take advantage of the 24 hr visa free transfer and read all about that. but the one remaining question i have is this: will i need to check out my luggage during this transfer?
i'd prefer not.. but i need to know so i can make sure i have all the right stuff with me on my carry on luggage.
