About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hr visa. I am a Canadian Citizen

attending a 2-day international conference in Beijing (4-5 Nov). I arrive in Beijing on the 2nd Nov at 16:45 and leave on the 5th at 18:50; do I qualify for a 72 hour twov?

There is no such thing as a "72 hour visa". There is 144 hours transit without visa which is available only if you are in transit in Beijing. Otherwise you need a visa in advance.
