travelling to Shanghi with a british passport

Hello I will be travelling to Shanghai in a few days time. I will be travelling on British Airways as a cling-on. My daughter is cabin crew and she will be working on the flight. Do I need to get a visa as I will be there for three days?

If your trip would be country A-Shanghai-country B, and you have confirmed ticket, not standby, you can use the 144h twov in Shanghai, and no visa will be needed.
