About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Stopover in Guangzhou on a separate part of the trip

I have a stop over in Guangzhou in a couple of weeks en route to New Delhi and plan to use the 24 hour free stay (as my layover is 12 hours). Will this affect a visa application for a 144 hour twov in Shanghai later in the trip?

If your trip would be HK-Guangzhou-Shanghai-New Deli, you cannot use the 24h twov in Guangzhou. You need a visa for that trip beforehand.

Thanks for the reply. The stopover in Guangzhou is entirely separate to a planned 144 hour stay in shanghai. They’ll be about 2 months apart and not part of the same journey
