About:China Transit Visa

Does Indonesian passport holder need a visa for transit less than 24 hours?

Hi, I am going to US on Dec 2018, and will transit about 15 hours in Guangzhou on both ways. Do I need to apply visa? I hold an Indonesian passport.
I called the airline representative in Jakarta, she said I need to apply multiple entry permit for my transit.
But I read here, that I can get a 24hours free transit.
Which one is correct?
Please advise. Thanks so much

Personally I think you can get the 24h twov, and no visa will be required. The best source is Timatic, an IATA database available from several websites.
