About:Shanghai Public Transportation Card

Can I use Shanghai Public Transportation Card (purple colour)

for riding bus from Pudong International Airport to Shanghai Railway Station?

The purple card can be used to take the Maglev, metro, city bus and ferry. But you cannot use it to take the airport bus lines in the Pudong airport.

From the airport to the railway station, you can choose to take the airport bus line 5. The ticket fare is CNY22 and the duration is about 1 hour, but you cannot use the transportation card to pay for.

If you want to use the transportation card, you can first take the Maglev to Longyang Road and then transfer to the metro line 2 and get off at Century Avenue. Then transfer to take the metro line 10 outer ring and get off at the railway station. The whole ride needs about 1 hour and CNY54.

You can top up at the airport metro station.
