Visa Applcation made from Malaysia by American Citizen

I am holding a Malaysian passport and my 1 year old Daughter is holding a American passport. We intend to make a day trip visit to Guangzhou entering through Hong Kong. Can my daughter apply for the visa together with my application at Kuala Lumpur visa application and processing center?
