About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Wondering about transit visa ?

We are flying into Shanghai from the UK and staying in a hotel for 2 nights before boarding a cruise to Abu Dabi. Are we covered with the 72 hour free transit or do we require to do anything else ?
