About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

do we require a visa when travelling on a cruise ship?

we will be flying to shanghai from the uk to board a cruise ship the following day.
we will visit Beijing, south korea and japan before a 2 night stay in Tokyo.
Will we require a visa?

You need a visa because you are spending more than 24 hours in China visiting Shanghai and Beijing.
