About:Beijing Transportation

Will be flying to Bangkok from Lax with a 9 hour layover at Beijing Capital Airport.

When I check my luggage at Lax will it be on my connecting flight? Or do I have to retrieve it at luggage claim in PEK and recheck it in PEK?

Generally speaking, you don't need to recheck the luggage at PEK. However, if your both airlines don't have luggage check through service, you need to do this.
