UK citizen visa

Hello
I'm a UK citizen flying to Shanghai for 2 days hotel stay before boarding a cruise. Would I be able to take the train to Bejing/ Xian and back to Shanghai during my stay without a visa ? Cheers Bill

That is definitely not allowed without a visa. You have to stay in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang.
