About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am a British citizen, I am flying to Shanghai for three days and flying back to Hong Kong

I will be flying from Hong Kong to Shanghai and departing on the third day to Hong Kong.i have tickets to prove and hotels booked
I am I qualified for the 72 hours free transit at the airport?

You must get a visa in advance. Hong Kong-Shanghai-Hong Kong means you are not in transit at Shanghai.
