In Beijing, the average temperature in January will be -4°C / 25°F, and it will be even colder at Great Wall as it is situated in the suburb area. As a result, you are suggested to wear warm down jacket and hiking boots etc. Usually, the hiking tour to Simatai West and Jinshanling Great Wall will take around 3-4 hours.
