About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Shanghai - Vietnam - Hong Kong

I'm planning to go from San Francisco to Shanghai for 24 hours. Then to Vietnam for 2 days and then to Hong Kong for 36 hours and then back to SFO. Can I use the 72 hour visa? Seems like I might have to go from Vietnam back to SFO and leave out Hong Kong to make this work.

San Francisco-Shanghai-Vietnam-Hong Kong-SFO will be fine for applying the free transit in Shanghai. Nice trip.
