anyone knows how to process the residency for s1 visa holder?

After entering China with a S1 type, you should provide your passport and its copy, the application form, a passport-style photo, health certificate, your relationship certificate with the inviter, as well as an invitation letter and your inviter's passport and Chinese residence permit and others. Next,  submit the application to the exit and entry administration of the local PSB.
