About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hello, I'm holding a Canadian passport. I'm flying from Toronto and get to Dalian on Oct 6 at

7:05pm. My next flight is on Oct 9 at 5:40pm to SGN (but with a connection in PVG for 2 hours). Would the 72-hours visa-free still applied on this case?

You do not qualify for 72 hours visa-free transit because of the stop in Shanghai. You need a visa for this route, or you must purchase a non-stop flight from Dalian to a third country (not China).
