About:China 72-hour Visa

Travelling from Europe to Shanghai - Taiwan - Hongkong/Macau and back to Shanghai for return home

Hi,

We are considering a trip from Europe to Shanghai (or Beijing), and then flying to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Would the transit visa for 72 hours apply if you fly back to Shanghai from Hong Kong, if our returning flight to Europe leaves from China?
