About:Shanghai Transportation

touch down in Shanghai airport on 25 Oct in mid afternoon and travel directly to Hangzhou.

In terms of convenient and transport cost and time saving, which is better? (3 ladies)
SH Airport - Hongqiao railway station(purchase ticket on the spot)- speed train to hangzhou- taxi to our hotel.
Or Hire a private cab from SH Airport - Hangzhou hotel?

Secondly, I will be staying in Ningbo and back to SH to fly out. I found that Shanghai hotel is very expensive around the central area and still looking for a good and average hotel.
My option is:-

1) Get a good and average hotel in SH and stay for 3 days before fly out. Any recommendation of hotel? Even a 2 star hotel cost more than $100 in central area.(Hangpu/Nanjing area)
2) To extend my stay in Ningbo and travel to SH for a day and hire a private cab from Ningbo directly to SH airport to fly out.

From the airport to Hangzhou, there are three ways that you can choose:
1. Take the long-distance bus directly to Hangzhou. The duration is about 3 hours and the ticket fare is CNY110 per person.
2. Take the airport bus line 1 to Hongqiao railway station and then take the high speed train to Hangzhou. The whole ride may take about 2 hours and CNY103 per person.
3. Take the subway to Hongqiao railway station and then take the high speed train to Hangzhou. The whole ride needs about 3 hours and about CNY85 per person.
You can choose one according to your convenience.
Hiring a private car from the airport to the Hangzhou hotel is not recommended to you because it may be very expensive, more than CNY600.


Two hotels are recommended to you.
1. Tianji Nanjing Road Homestay, located at Shandong Middle Road, Huangpu District; its starting price is about CNY100.
2. Jitai Hotel, located at No.25 Zhaotong Road, Huangpu District; its starting price is about CNY110.
Hiring a car from Ningbo to Shanghai may cost CNY600 – 800 and take about 4 hours.
