About:China Tourist Visa

2 visas at a time

I have a Z for work. It expires in July of next year. Can I go to HK and apply for a tourist L and have both visas at the same time. ( I want the tourists L so I can do some traveling after July).

One can only hold one Chinese visa at a time. Once you get an L type, the Z type will be voided automatically. In your case, you can try to change your work Z type into an L type before it expires at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China.
