About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need a visa if I fly in Shanghai and leave on a cruise ship in less than 24 hours.

I am an American passport holder who is flying from America to Shanghai. Staying in a hotel overnight and leaving on a cruise ship in less than 24 hours.

You can get 24h twov in Shanghai and no need to apply for a visa then.

You don’t need a visa if your first port of call is outside China.
