About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I enjoy the 144-hour visa free transit.

I plan to travel from Sydney,Australia to Shanghai at 7:20pm on 13 Nov 2018 then take the 1:05pm flight from Shanghai to Tokyo on 16 Nov 2018. I wonder if I can enjoy the 144-hour free transit and stay in Shanghai for a free days without applying for the visa. I have Australian passport. - Scott Song

As long as Shanghai is your only landing in China then you can do the transit without visa
