About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Qualify for 144 hour free transit in Shanghai?

I am an Australian citizen and planning to take a cruise to Japan. Do I need to apply visa?
The Plan is:
Flying from Australia to Hong Kong.
Flying from Hong Kong to SH to take Royal Caribbean to Japan on the same day.
Ok to qualify for 144 hour free transit?
Cruise arriving back Shanghai
Flying back from Shanghai to Hong Kong
Ok to qualify for another 144 hour free transit?
Thanks

Don’t worry! You don’t need a visa. For your first transit, you can apply for a 24h stay permit; and for the second one, if less than 1 day, 24h stay permit is also available; if it’s more than 24h, 144h free transit visa can be used.
