About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I planned to arrive from Istambul next Monday afternoon by plane in Shanghai

and I want to leave Shanghai to Istambul Saturday night. My visa for China is expired, may I use the 144 hour transt for the trip? Ulrich Döbler, Germany

You cannot. Istanbul-Shanghai-Istanbul is clearly not a transit. You need to get a visa or change your flights.
