can you change the l visa to x1 while your in china?

Hey, if I have an L and it’s my first time in China, than I decide to study chines language for a year, is it possible to apply for a course and change my current L to an X1 while I’m here  in china or must I go out of China? And I also have all the documents ready. (By the way I’m holding an Iranian passport)

Based on what I know, it's possible to change the L type into X1 type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. But the result cannot be guaranteed, so you can have a try. Good luck.
