About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Qualified itinerary

My plans are to fly from Toronto, Canada to Beijing, fly on a domestic flight to Shenzhen from Xian, cross the border to Hong Kong and fly back to Toronto, Canada from Hong Kong.

Does this itinerary qualify for the 72-hour twov? When would the time period begin and end from the time I arrive in Beijing and leave Shenzhen?

The 72 hour policy only allows the traveler to transit in one Chinese city, so you won’t qualify for the 72 hour free transit. You are supposed to apply for a visa for the trip beforehand.
