Do we need to book the Simatai Great Wall if...

...we arrive with the 9am bus from Beijing and want to visit it from the water town ?
(We are staying overnight in the town, but would like to visit the great wall first, by day)

Yes, you need to book it in the official website at least 24 hours in advance.
