Staying overnight at different address to hotel

Hi there, I'll be on an M for work staying most nights at the address of a hotel in Shanghai nominated on my visa application.

Can I stay at a different address on other nights? Can it be in another city - e.g. Beijing. If so, is there other paperwork to be done? Thanks!

As long as you have valid visa in China, you can stay at a different address on other nights, and you are allowed to go to another city. There is no other paperwork to be done. Nice trip.
