About:China Great Wall

If you take the cable car to Jinshanling

how far do you have to hike toward Simatar before you get to the half wild or half restored part of the wall? We are wanting to see both the restored and unrestored parts of the wall. 72 and 63 years of age...any other suggestions of sections that might be better for us due to our age...in good shape.

You can take the cable car at the lower terminal and after you reach the upper terminal, there are two footpaths leading to the East No. 5 Tower and East No. 8 Tower respectively. You can choose one to hike. Considering your age, it is hard for you to finish the whole route: No.1 to No.10. Starting to hike to No.8 is recommended to you because the section from No.8 to No. 10 is smoother than the section from No.5 to No.1. You are not advised to visit the unopened part because it is very dangerous. Hope to be helpful. Nice trip.

Thanks Jason, do you have an estimate how far a hike it is from No. 8 - No. 10?
Is there any unrestored wall in the 8-10 sections?
Also what would the conditions be for sections No. 8. toward No. 6?

Dear Judy, I didn't find the information about how far it is from No.8 to No.10.
It is opened from No.8 to No.10.
