traveling to nanningvisit vietnam by viet nam border

Question

Im planning to travel to nanning on 28/01/2019. I will stay in there for few days and visit viet nam next. Do you know how can i get viet nam border from nanning capital ? Can you give me some idea where i can stay in nanning for 3 to 5 days? Or Should I looking for tourguide who can pick me from airport to hotel and viet nam border ? Thank you

You can take a international train or bus to Hanoi. If taking a bus, you can go to Langdong Bus Station and 4 buses depart from 8:00, 9:00, 10:00 and 13:40. The journey time is about 6 to 7 hours. You can also take a train from Nanning Railway Station to Hanoi. The train departs from about 18:00 and it takes about 10 hours to reach Vietnam.As for the hotel, you can live in Red Forest Hotel, which is not far to the railway station and bus station. The location is at No.129, Min Zu Avenue, Qing Xiu District

Thank you for your help. With bus and train from nanning to ha noi, do I need to show my passport and allowed visa to visit to viet nam ? Same with airport border ?
