About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I need to get a visa for 2 nights in Shanghai?

Depart from London, United Kingdom to Hong Kong for two days before flying to Shanghai for two nights and back to Hong Kong for a week before returning to UK. Do I need to get a Chinese visa?

Visa is required as Hong Kong > China > Hong Kong is not a transit
