Hi, I will have a 13 hour layover and would like to explore the city during this time. Is it possible to obtain a Temporary Stay Permit upon arrival? I would be flying into Shanghai. Thank you!

If you are in a transit in China, you may leave the airport and explore the city by applying for a temporary stay permit. However, visa on arrival seems not eligible for US citizens.
