About:China Customs Declaration

What are the procedures for a pet (cat) being brought in?

How long is the quarantine in Beijing and what are the Customs procedures for clearance ? Do you know if it's possible for a visiting relative to being a pet in to her owner if the owner has a resident permit ?

The duration of the pet quarantine in Beijing is one month. According to China Customs, the pet species is limited to dogs and cats and you can only take one with you when you enter China.
The procedures are:
1. Customs declaration
2. Being quarantined
3. Isolation Quarantine
4. Those who pass quarantine inspection shall be released; If the quarantine is unqualified, the animals shall be returned or destroyed
