Entry Shanghai Pudong airport on 08/11/18. Exit Shanghai port on 11/11/18 on cruise MSC Splendida.

I, Martin McKernan, am flying from London Heahrow airport to arrive in Shanghai Pudong airport on 08/11/2018. I will be staying in a Shanghai hotel until 11/11/18 when I will leave Shanghai on 11/11/18 from Shanghai port on MSC Cruiseship Splendida ( for a 28 day cruise visiting 8 countries starting with Japan on 12/11/18 and ending with UAE on 08/12/18 when I shall fly back to London).
Will I be able to get a 72-Hour Free Transit permit to allow my 3-day visit to Shanghai?
If not, what type of documentation do I need to apply for which will allow my transit visit to Shanghai?
