Thai citizen to arrive Sanya Port via cruise ship

What will my father in law who has Thai passport need to do in advance of his cruise which leaves from Hong Kong and stops at Sanya on the way to Singapore? And what will he need to show in order to get the required document in Thailand? We have an itinerary which showd this stop for only 1 day.

His valid passport is enough for getting the travel document. Have a nice trip!
