About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Ulaan Baator to Xian and return to Ulaan Baator

I would be traveling Ulaan Baator to Xian and return to Ulaan Baator. This would be travel in the evening on a Monday with return Tuesday evening. Will I need entry permit?

5 days later, I will be traveling Ulaan Baator to Beijing for 72 hours and then on to Seattle. Will I need entry permit because I will have had two separate trips to China?

No. Two stops in China limits you to 24 hours transit without visa.
