Best way to travel from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar right now
Hi! I want to travel from Beijing to Ulaanbaatar and am wondering right now what is the best option available. The K23 train is out of the question because it does not fit our schedule. So there is the route of Beijing -> Hohhot -> Ulaanbaatar with is convenient but has a long stop-over in Erlian which could get a bit boring and we maybe want to avoid. The trains from Beijing -> Erlian to then take the train from Erlian -> Ulaanbaatar also take a long time. So I was wondering, would it be a good option to take a bus from Beijing to Erlian, and then take the train from Erlian -> Ulaanbaatar on the Friday or Saturday directly? If yes, could you maybe point me to any good resources on where to book a bus or where to find an up-to-date schedule?
