5 years temporary residence permit

Hi GuysI have a question for my parents. They have 5 years temporary permit which they got based on Family Reunion. They are leaving to visit me in Canada and will be coming back to China. Do they need proof of onward travels like a ticket to show they have plans to leave China even though they don't want too?

If they have valid Chinese residence permit, they can go to Canada to visit you and come back to mainland China. They don't have to show proof of onward travels for that.
