About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I need a visa, I plan to fly UK, Hong Kong, Shanghi, UK.

The stop over in Shanghi is just less than 72 hours. Do I require a visa?

You don’t need a visa as long as you don’t have any other stops in China, and your Shanghai-UK flight does not stop in Hong Kong. You must also have a passport from one of the 53 qualifying countries, of course.
