About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

Visa expiry. Hello, I asked the Entry-Exit Bureau of Beijing, China

and they said the duration starts to be counted from the day of arrival, not from the next day. In this case, I will be overstaying in China for a day. Secondly, do you think it is possible for them let me go in this kind of situation? And some people even say they can make you come back to the city and apply for a visa extension in which case you are made to stay here 2 more weeks? Is it true?

They would normally give you a stern lecture and let you go with or without the fine, but there were also a few instances when people are asked to solve this with the Exit and Entry Administration by applying for an exit visa. You should avoid this scenario as blacklisting is inevitable in either cases and will render you ineligible for TWOV for 5 years from the day the offence is recorded.
