About:Chinese Embassy in U.S.A.

What form do I need for Chinese Visa? Can I apply 2 months prior to entering China?

My husband and I are taking our 91 year old mother to China In October. Can I fill out forms and bring them to some where and get visa in person in San Francisco. Does my mother-in-law have to be there or can we just bring her information in for her.

You are supposed to provide a filled-out application form affixed with a passport-style photo, passport and its photocopy, round trip air tickets and hotel reservation for the application. You can apply 2 months prior to entering China. If your mother-in-law is not required to go to the visa office in person, you can submit her application with yours on her behalf.
