Intending to visit Shahghai 6 days, then Hong Kong for a week, return to Melbourne.

Thanking You,

Melbourne > Shanghai > Hong Kong is considered a valid routing for TWOV just make sure flight Melbourne > Shanghai doesn't stop in Hong Kong on the way (or another stop in mainland china), otherwise it would appear as Hong Kong > Shanghai > Hong Kong. They only look at your flights immediately before and after Shanghai to confirm they are not the same Country/Administrative region
