About:Dual Nationality

If a child was adopted from China

If a young adult after being adopted by Americans and has American citizenship, wants to return to China, can they become Chinese citizens a again. This young lady was 12 when she was adopted. Has since gone back on a student visa, and wants to stay. She knows she has to return to the US. What if any, choices does she have?

If she wants Chinese citizenship, she has to give up American citizenship because there is no dual nationality in China.
