A visa when travelling from Hong Kong to Shanghai for 1 day and then to Netherlands

I Am a Dutch citizin who will travel from Amsterdam to Hong Kong and then from Hong Kong to SH where I stay 1 day to then fly back to the Netherlands.
I cannot find anywhere if I then need to apply for a visa or if I can use the 144 transit visum

You won't need a visa to fly HKG-SHA-AMS on non-stop flights.

If you don't fly nonstop which are your other stops?
If you have another stop in China you're not eligible for the 144h twov.

I don't have other stops other than Shanghai. I travel from Amsterdam to Hong Kong, then to Shanghai and then back to Amsterdam. So it seems I do not need the visa but use the 144 visum. I applied for that one last time (different trip) so all good. thanks
