M Port Visa 30days to extention to M

Hello, I have a 30days M port visa (one entry). I need to stay in Guangzhou for at least three more months, for this reason i need to renew it.

I have already found and paid an apartment.
In order to receive the extention, Should I get the temporary residence permit first?
