I am with a guy before we split up for 5yrs he pursued me after I split up with my now ex boyfriend.

My new boyfriend said to me he realized how bad he screwed me up and how bad he screwed up by letting me go. He said he never knew what he wanted till I was gone. After 5yrs apart and he still wants to try a serious relationship with me he even tried giving me a ring I told him let's take it slow . He said that he understood that he just doesn't want to lose me again. Do you think I should give him a chance? He didn't want to be in a serious relationship before we were seeing each other for 3yrs. I got tired of waiting for him.

I think you can give him a chance because I can fee how much he loves you and I believe you can feel that too. But the precondition is that he will give you a promise and you don't need to wait for him all the time.

The boyfriend I had for 5yrs had a whole other life in another state with another woman for the last 2yrs of our relationship that is what broke us up. The guy who was pursuing me waited till I was broken up for 3 months to pursue me. I had been with him for 3yrs prior to the 5yr relationship. I never cheated on either one.
