can I apply for X1 in China, or do I have to exit and apply for it at Chinese embassy?

Hello, I have graduated my bachelor in China and going to continue my Masters at the same school. Currently, I have residence permit until 31 July and I am holding JW202 with Admission notice from the university.

Hi, if you are currently in mainland China, you can try to apply for it at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can succeed, you don’t need to exit and apply for it at Chinese embassy. Just give it a try!
